External Club Transfers:
The steps below will walk you through the process of transferring a player that was released from their original club that will now be participating with your club for the season.
Before requesting a transfer, the player must first be released from their initial club. You may not request a transfer for a player who is still registered with their original club. The releasing club must complete the player release in GotSport before the receiving club can submit a transfer request.
Step 1: Add your transfer player to the ECNL event in GotSport.
Step 2: Log into your Athlete One club account and click on 'Associations' > in the upper right hand corner of the page, select 'Release & Transfers' > Select the league you are wanting to view players in.
Note: There will be a blue number next to the league that has a release or transfer request
Step 4: The player will be listed under transfers needing approval > click 'Request Transfer'. If the player did not exist in your club already on their team, you will be required to complete Athlete One missing information from the 'unfinished player profile' list PRIOR to requesting the transfer.
Note: If your player has not yet been released from their current club, you will need to contact their original club to request they release the player
Step 6: Once the player shows 'complete' under the US Club Status and the league approves the request, you will have the option to 'pay now' to purchase their player card and complete the transfer.
