Effective June 1, 2026, all player registrations must begin within the GotSport platform in order to obtain US Club Soccer player card approval.  ECNL league approval will continue within the Athlete One platform, requiring all players to be registered and approved with the league before they can be rostered for an ECNL, ECNL RL, or Pre-ECNL match.

Step 1: Register Players with US Club Soccer via GotSport into the ECNL pass card/registration event.

Once registered in GotSport, the player data will automatically sync to Athlete One where ECNL league registration will be completed.

Note: GotSport and Athlete One accounts are matched based upon player legal name, DOB, and gender.

Step 2: After registering your players in GotSport, navigate to the Athlete One platform and log into your club account. Click Here

Select My Account > Club Account > Select Your Club.

Step 3: From the left-hand navigation, select 'Associations' and select 'Unfinished Player Profiles'.  If the player does not already have an Athlete One account, adding them in GotSport will automatically create a new player account in Athlete One.  These player accounts will need to be completed here prior to the player appearing under league registration bucket.

The player will appear on the list of Unfinished Profiles until all remaining information is completed, including:
  • Player photo
  • Email address
  • Team assignment
Note: Once a player’s profile is completed, they will appear in their team’s registered association to proceed with submitting them for League carding.

Step 4: Select the organization where you would like to register players.

Note: New registrations for 2025-2026 season, submit players in the 2025-2026 GotSport season bucket.

Step 5: Select the team for which you are registering players.  You will now see the list of all first team players associated with that team.



US Club Soccer Status: Displays the player’s current US Club Soccer eligibility state.
  • Complete: All required fields have been verified
  • In Review: Submission is pending US Club Soccer review
  • Ineligible:  Required fields are missing, invalid, or rejected
  • Not Registered: Player still needs to be registered through GotSport
Athlete One Missing Information Status: Displays any remaining information required before the player can be carded for ECNL.
  • Complete:  No missing information; ready to register
  • Listed information required
 Note: To update missing information, click the pencil icon next to the player.

ECNL Registration Date: Displays the date the player was successfully carded with ECNL. This field will populate only after the ECNL registration payment has been submitted.

ECNL Status: Displays the player’s current ECNL eligibility state.
  • Approved: Player is carded and eligible to play
  • Eligible: Player is ready to be registered; payment has not yet been submitted
  • Missing Info: Required information is still outstanding
  • Denied: Player is ineligible to play or be carded

Step 6: Once both US Club Soccer Status and Athlete One Missing information Status's are 'Complete', the player's ECNL Status will update to 'Eligible'.

To register players, select the checkbox next to each eligible player > Click 'Register' in the top-right corner of the page.

Step 7: Select 'Make Payment'.  You will be prompted to make payment for the ECNL league registration.

Note: If the player is a DP player, select Yes for the DP option before submitting payment.

Step 8: A payment fly-out window will open.  You can select an existing payment method on file, or
Click '+ Add a Credit or Debit Card' > Select 'Pay' to process the payment.
